Manchester City v Sunderland, Aston Villa v Chelsea – Betting Selections
Manchester City v Sunderland, Aston Villa v Chelsea - Betting Selections
Both 3:00pm kick offs on Saturday, follow the coverage on Gillette Soccer Special!
Manchester City are going toe to toe with Manchester United until the end of the season, and will want to win here, to go back to the top of the Premier League, temporarily at least. Manchester City have won all home games this season in the league, just to show how much of a difficult challenge Sunderland will face on Saturday. They have just come off a defeat to Everton in the quarter finals, so will want to make their fans proud here. Chelsea are going for a Champions League spot, as they currently trail both Arsenal and Tottenham. At the moment it looks like they are most likely to miss out, but will hope to spring a few results together and put pressure on the teams above them. Aston Villa beat them back at Stamford Bridge earlier on in the season, so will be hoping for a famous double over this Chelsea side.
Odds; Manchester City (1/4), Draw (9/2), Sunderland (11/1)
.........Aston Villa (10/3), Draw (12/5), Chelsea (17/20)
Manchester City have been perfect at home this season, so it will be stupid to bet against them here. Sunderland will make it hard for Manchester City, definitely, but City to win. I also think Chelsea will get some revenge, and edge out Aston Villa.
Other Betting Selections;
Chelsea to win 2-0 (8/1)
Manchester City to come from behind and win (15/2)
Last Goalscorer for Manchester City; Carlos Tevez (7/2)

Champions League Tuesday (Quarter Finals) – Betting Selections
Champions League Tuesday (Quarter Finals) - March 27th
Benfica v Chelsea, Apoel Nicosia v Real Madrid - 1st Leg
Both live on Sky Sports....kick off at 7:45pm!
Two of four Champions League quarter finals take centre stage tonight, as we get down to the most vital matches in all of these teams season. Chelsea have been close to be getting knocked out on two occasions but managed to pull through with great spirit and face Benfica in the quarter finals, who have had a superb season in the Champions League. The first leg is at Benfica, which does give Chelsea the advantage with them being home in the second leg. It will be important for Benfica not to lose tonight, and ideally keep a clean sheet. Chelsea might not be in the tournament next year, so this match is huge for them. Apoel Nicosia have been terrific this year, and against all the odds are into the quarter finals. They come up against the team who have been mightily impressive so far this season, Real Madrid. It's a dream tie for Apoel Nicosia, and they will just enjoy the occasion. If they can get a result, of any kind tonight, they will be delighted. Mourinho will expect victory tonight from his team.
Odds; Benfica (7/5), Draw (21/10), Chelsea (21/10)
.........Apoel Nicosia (11/1), Draw (4/1), Real Madrid (2/7)
I personally believe that Chelsea will get a draw tonight. A win will be a tough ask, as Benfica have been playing some great football this season. Chelsea have been tough to break down, so I think they will earn a 1-1 or 0-0 draw in this match. I expect Real Madrid to win tonight, by a couple of goals.
Other Selections;
Draw/Draw (Half time/Full time) in the Benfica v Chelsea match; (9/2)
Fernando Torres to score first; (6/1)
Handicap; Apoel Nicosia (+2); (10/11)

Manchester United v Fulham – Betting Selections
Manchester United v Fulham - March 26th
Manchester United host Fulham, live on Sky Sports 1....8:00pm Kick off!
Manchester United can go three points clear if they win tonight against Fulham. Manchester United have won 8 of their last 9 matches and drew the other. They are finishing the season the ruthless form, and the fixtures on paper look easier than Manchester City's. It's important for them to not drop silly points, and they are fully expected to win the match tonight. They usually see off Fulham quite easily in the home fixture, and in the reverse fixture, United won 5-0 over the Christmas period. Fulham find themselves in 13th, and were finding some good form, but in their last two games they have lost both, to Aston Villa and then Swansea. As Manchester City drew at Stoke, Manchester United have the chance to go three points clear, with 8 games to go after this one.
Odds; Manchester United (2/9), Draw (9/2), Fulham (14/1)
Manchester United are overwhelming favourites for this match. They have won 11 of their 14 matches in the league, and beaten Fulham every year since 2004. Fulham may hope at best for a draw, as City will be hoping for a favour. Manchester United should get the win tonight though.
Other Selections;
Correct Score; 3-0 (7/1)
First Goal Scorer; Antonio Valencia (8/1)
Handicap; Fulham (+2) (EVENS)

Chelsea v Tottenham – Betting Selections
Chelsea v Tottenham - March 24th
Chelsea host Tottenham, live on Sky Sports 1...12:45pm kick off!
Huge match for both teams as their aims are simple: to finish in the top four. Tottenham had a big advantage over both Arsenal and Chelsea, but only picking up one point from their last 12 has let the other two teams catch up. Arsenal are now level with Tottenham, with Chelsea 5 points behind. It's a 6 pointer this one, and with Tottenham's recent slump, and Chelsea's revival, it should be a fascinating match. Tottenham haven't won at Chelsea for over a decade, so it would be a great time to end that rot.
Odds; Chelsea (19/2), Draw (5/2), Tottenham (11/4)
I can't see Tottenham winning this one. Chelsea have been in fine form of late and Tottenham in desperate need of something going their way but I cannot see it in this match. A home win for me, and expect a cracker.
Other Selections;
Chelsea to win 3-2 (22/1)
Torres to score first (13/2)
Tottenham to win; Draw no bet (2/1)

Manchester City v Chelsea – Betting Selections
Manchester City v Chelsea - March 21st
Manchester City's hosting of Chelsea kicks off at 7:45pm, live on Sky Sports 1!
It's a huge match for both teams, fighting for different objectives. Manchester City find themselves four points behind Manchester United, despite leading the title race since October. Chelsea are 3 points behind rivals Arsenal, as they hope to get a Champions League spot. Chelsea's form has improved since the sacking of AVB, as they have won four on the trot and seems the spirit is back there. Manchester City are going through a tough time, having lost to Swansea last week, and then being eliminated by Sporting Lisbon in Europe. Carlos Tevez scored the winner of this fixture for the last two seasons, and funnily enough he may be making his comeback tonight, however, most likely coming off the bench. It promises to be a cracker this one, with so much riding on it.
Odds; Manchester City (17/20), Draw (23/10), Chelsea (7/2)
I think Manchester City are due to win this one. They have won every game at home, and I expect them to continue the trend. It's going to be a tight match definitely, but I'd back Manchester City....just.
Other Selections;
Last Goalscorer; Carlos Tevez (4/1)
Correct Score; 1-0 Manchester City (6/1)
Red Card to be shown; (5/2)

Athletic Bilbao v Manchester United, Manchester City v Sporting Lisbon – Betting Selections
Athletic Bilbao v Manchester United, Manchester City v Sporting Lisbon - March 15th, Thursday
Athletic Bilbao v Manchester United kicks off at 6:00pm on Channel 5, with Manchester City hosting Sporting Lisbon on ESPN for 8:05pm kick off!
Manchester United and Manchester City are both going head to head in the Premier League race, but for tonight the important issue is the Europa League matches. Both have to come back from defeats. United are up first and they don't have the best of chances, as Bilbao have scored 3 away goals, so United need to win by a 2 goal scoreline to stand any chance of qualifying. It will be a tough task as Bilbao were fantastic in the first leg, and will be keen on scoring tonight too. As for Manchester City, they have a slightly easier task, but still have to come from behind. They have home advantage on their side, as they trail 1-0 from the first leg. Sporting Lisbon are a decent side too, but Manchester City on their game tonight will hope to win by a couple of goals. Also, they don't play their next match until next Wednesday so they have longer to rest.
Odds; Athletic Bilbao (8/5), Draw (5/2), Manchester United (6/4)
.........Manchester City (2/7), Draw (9/2), Sporting Lisbon (17/2)
I think one Manchester team will go through and the other won't. Manchester City will go through in my opinion, and they will win comfortably on the night. As for United, I think that game could go either way, but I'd go for a draw, for best odds.
Other Selections;
Manchester United to qualify (3/1)
There to be 4+ goals in MC v SL match; (6/4)
Athletic Bilbao to win 3-2 again; (25/1)

Chelsea v Napoli, Real Madrid v CSKA Moscow – Betting Selections
Chelsea v Napoli, Real Madrid v CSKA Moscow - March 14th, Wednesday
Chelsea take on Napoli, live on ITV 1, and Real Madrid host CSKA on Sky Sports 2, both 7:45pm kick off!
Napoli came from 1-0 down to beat Chelsea 3-1 in an entertaining first leg, and we hope for more the same when they reunite tonight. Chelsea need a 2-0 scoreline or better to progress from this match, but Napoli will fancy their chances as they are usually good at counter attacking, and will fancy themselves scoring tonight. Di Matteo has won his first two games in charge tonight, but he's in for a real test tonight, as Chelsea are the last English team in the competition but also starring down the barrel of disappointment. Former Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho is in pole position to qualify his Real Madrid team tonight, as they drew 1-1 away at CSKA. Real Madrid's home form has been terrific this season and will hope to cruise through to the quarter finals.
Odds; Chelsea (5/6), Draw (12/5), Napoli (7/2)
..........Real Madrid (1/7), Draw (13/2), CSKA (16/1)
I think Chelsea will be going out tonight if I am brutally honest. For the 90 minutes though I think they may win. I just can't see Napoli not scoring though, so a 2-1 scoreline comes to my mind. Real Madrid will convincingly win in my opinion, I expect them to score four goals or more.
Other Selections;
Chelsea to qualify; (9/4)
Chelsa to be winning after 30 minutes; (2/1)
There to be 4+ goals in the Real Madrid - CSKA game; (8/11)

Bayern Munich v Basel, Inter Milan v Marseille – Betting Selections
Bayern Munich v Basel, Inter Milan v Marseille - March 12th
Basel's visit to Bayern is on Sky Sports 2, and Inter Milan against Marseille is on Sky Sports 4....both 7:45pm kick off!
Bayern Munich and Inter Milan were strong favourites going into these ties, but both have a job to do tonight if they want to qualify. Both lost by 1-0 deficits in the first leg, meaning they will need to be at the top of their game to progress tonight. Bayern Munich were hoping to cruise past Basel, but the visitors tonight have already effectively knocked out Manchester United and will hope to make another surprising scalp. As for Inter Milan, they have had a poor season, and their defeat at Marseille wasn't too much of a surprise. This tie is definitely in the balance but Marseille will fancy their chances as they can be very strong at the back. Both matches are going to be close, and surprises may very well happen tonight.
Odds; Bayern Munich (2/9), Draw (5/1), Basel (12/1)
.........Inter Milan (EVENS), Draw (23/10), Marseille (11/4)
I think Bayern Munich will turn it around tonight. An early goal will work wonders for them and I think they will win by 2 or 3 goals, against a Basel side who will be delighted to have given them such a close game over two legs. As for Inter Milan, I don't see them qualifying tonight. Marseille are strong at the back, and I don't think they will score tonight, but could earn a 0-0 draw tonight. If they do score, I don't think Inter have 3 goals in them.
Other Selections;
Bayern Munich and Marseille to qualify; (EVENS)
First Goal Scorers; Robben for Bayern Munich (3/10, Diego Milito for Inter Milan (9/2)
Result after 15 minutes; Bayern Munich to be winning (12/5)

Liverpool v Everton – Betting Selections
Liverpool v Everton - 14th March, Tuesday
Live on Sky Sports 1, 8:00pm kick off!
This game was meant to be played a few weeks ago, but due to Liverpool's participation in the Carling Cup, they have rescheduled it for a Tuesday night, which for me, will add the atmosphere to a vital game for both clubs. Liverpool have lost 3 matches in a row, and will be desperate to get back to winning ways, and what better team to do that than against Everton. The visitors haven't lost a match in 8 now, and will feel confident going into this match. The two grounds are only a minute away, so there is always a great passion in these matches and hopefully we'll be in a for a treat tonight. It's a must win for Liverpool, if they still believe they can reach the top four.
Odds; Liverpool (4/5), Draw (5/2), Everton (7/2)
I can't see the away side winning this one, but they are definitely capable of getting a draw. However, I expect a big performance from Liverpool, and I think they'll complete a double here over Everton.
Other Selections;
Liverpool 2-0 Everton; (6/1)
First Goal Scorer; Steven Gerrard (7/1)
Everton to score first, Liverpool to score last; (10/3)

Arsenal v Newcastle – Betting Selections
Arsenal v Newcastle - 13th March, Monday
Live on Sky Sports 1, 8:00pm kick off!
To wrap up a great weekend of football, we have two sides who have played out many classic matches in the past. The two sides met on the opening day of the season, and drew 0-0 in a fairly forgettable match. However, when they met before it was a 4-4 thriller. More of the same we hope tonight, as both sides are chasing European football. Arsenal are only four points behind rivals Tottenham, with this game in hand. A Newcastle win would put them just two points behind Arsenal, so this is all to play for, with two great sides contesting this match.
Odds; Arsenal (4/9), Draw (3/1), Newcastle (7/1)
Hard one to decide this, and it must be mentioned that in the last three matches between the two sides, Arsenal haven't won, so you could say they are due a win here. In their last three matches, they have beaten Liverpool, AC Milan and Tottenham, so find themselves in good form. I will go for a home win, but a somewhat risky bet on betting against Arsenal does give out generous rewards.
Other Selections;
Arsenal to win 3-2 (20/1)
Half time/Full time; Newcastle/Arsenal (25/1)
Robin Van Persie to score first; (2/1)
Happy Betting!
