Betting on Bulgaria v England...

Crucial qualifier for England, as a win would be one giant step to qualification for the European Championships next summer. As for Bulgaria, they are playing for pride more than anything as they chances of qualifying looks incredibly bleak. These sides met last September in the first game of the qualification and that match finished 4-0 at Wembley, a comfortable win for the home side. All away matches are trickier though, and England will have to perform better than they did in their last game to get a result here.

Match Betting

Bulgaria are not given much chance looking at the odds, as they are priced at 5/1 to win on home soil. England are strong favourites at 8/15, as a draw is at 11/4. The most profitable outcome would be a draw because England may struggle in this match, and Bulgaria may set out to play for the draw. However, England's qualifying record under Fabio Capello is terrific, and they are better away from home than in front of their own fans. The only time England have lost on their travels under Capello in a qualifying campaign was they lost to Ukraine 1-0, when they had already qualified.

First Goal Scorer

A tough one to choose, because the team line up is yet to be officially predicted. One thing is for certain though, and that is that Wayne Rooney will be starting and he is in goal scoring form, as he has hit the back of the bet 5 times in his opening 3 games for Manchester United. Rooney is 7/2 to score first. Darren Bent is at 9/2 and Andy Carrol is at 5/1, but not sure which one or if any of them will be starting. Frank Lampard is 7/1, and one to consider as he is penalty taker for England.

Goal Crazy

This is where you bet on the amount of goals are scored by one team, or in the whole match. Today I am going to choose just the away side here and I reckon that there will be few goals scored in this one. England are 13/2 to score 4 or more goals, so if you feel your luck is in, go for that one. However, 0-1 and 2-3 are both Evens, but I am in optimistic mood so I'd recommend the latter.
