England v Wales – Betting Tips
Betting on England v Wales...
England are nearly home and draw. They have put themselves in a comfortable position to qualify for the European Championships next summer. An impressive 3-0 victory against Bulgaria on Friday night has put them in a position they can't throw away now. They lead Montenegro by 3 points, with two games to go, with a much better goal difference although the two sides do meet in the last game of the campaign. I was right with most predictions I made for that game, but hoping for more success here!
Match Betting
When these two teams played last two, England pretty much won the game in the first 20 minutes, as goals from Lampard and Bent gave England a brilliant start. The match finished 2-0, but England were in no danger of losing their lead. Wales didn't have Gareth Bale for that much, and he is the star man of this team, and will be in action on Tuesday night. England are 1/7 to win this match, therefore strong favourites indeed. Wales are 7/1 to get a draw or 14/1 to win. Wales look a different animal after beating Montenegro last Friday, however I still believe they won't have enough for England. Bet on England if you want to win some money although not a lot. If you fancy winning big money, a draw is the best option.
My Recommendation; Home Win (1/7)
First Goal Scorer
I picked Wayne Rooney for the Bulgaria match, and despite scoring two, he didn't score the first one. I don't like betting on the same person twice so I am going to go for another player who constantly is a goal threat, whoever he plays for. Wayne Rooney is 5/2, a strong favourite but I am going to go for Ashley Young, as his odds are slightly larger.
My Recommendation; Ashley Young (5/1)
Goal Crazy
For some reason, I reckon there will be goals in this one, either because the odds look the best or that I reckon both teams will go into the match with an attacking approach. It's 6/5 for there to be 4 or more goals, and I reckon England are capable of scoring that much by themselves. Betting on there to be 0-1 goals is 9/2, so if you think the opposite to me, go for that as the odds look valuable there.
My Recommendation; 4+ Goals (6/5)
One more for Luck
Gareth Bale to score first, but England win 3-1 (250/1)
